OVERVIEW
Peace Corps Morocco exclusively hosts volunteers for the Youth Development sector, which inherently allows for volunteers to specialize their work depending on the intersection of site needs and volunteer interests.  Over the years, several informal groups of volunteers have worked collaboratively to create unique resources for various special topics. The structure of these groups has ranged from holding formal leadership boards to individual volunteers spreading information. With the transition of leadership from Staj 99 to Staj 100, working groups will be hereby formalized with designated PCV leaders and a system of continuance between Staj departures.

Working Groups function autonomously and create their own leadership style based on the needs of the group, but they are paired with a respective Committee in order to accomplish the following goals:
  1. Communicate updates & needs of Working Groups to Peace Corps Morocco staff during Committee Meetings;
  2. Ensure continuance of working group leadership between each Staj;
  3. Act as a liaison between working group leadership and staff to ensure a direct flow of communication.
Presently, Peace Corps Morocco volunteers operate 11 Working Groups across a range of topics relevant to in-country work experiences; however, PCVs hold the right to dismantle non-operational Working Groups or create new Working Groups at their discretion.
