English Language & Humanities Working Group

ELH Working Group & Write On! Contest

Welcome to the English Language & Humanities Working Group for Peace Corps Morocco! We are focused on making English teaching for volunteers and Moroccan educators easier though our volunteer-made resources, guides, lessons, contests, and activities.

The working group is proudly run by its Staj 99 founding volunteers Jacob Sayers, Cat Holst, Nils Holst, Victoria Slaughter, Julia McKeown, Sierra Robbins, and Emma Glynn, as well as Staj 100 volunteers Josh Warzecha, Sean Hyland, Scott Mansfield, and Kacy Bartels.

Write On! Morocco
The Write On! Competition is an international creative writing competition that encourages creativity and imagination in students’ writing. Write On! is held across Morocco and other Peace Corps Countries each February!

In 2019, Morocco boasted 365 participants and 54 Peace Corps volunteers helped as contest facilitators and judges. 36 participants were named 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in their age category, and 22 participants were named Honorable Mention! 3 participants placed at the international level!

To read the winning entries, please view our 2019 Write On! Morocco Winner's Storybook below!
